Sillage is a perfume built around the idea of an olfactory trail and movement, like a photograph taken with long exposure, where a point of light becomes a continuous line. The composition opens with oud, yet without the dark density that usually dominates this note. Here, agarwood forms a fine and persistent thread, softened by powdery violet and the spicy warmth of saffron.
In the heart, olibanum brings a dry, resinous and slightly smoky texture, over which jasmine and raspberry introduce floral and fruity contrasts. The evolution is fluid, while the base gradually shifts toward suede, musk, vanilla, benzoin and amber. The result is warm, tactile and sensual, with an elegant projection and longevity that preserves on the skin the impression of a discreet yet well-defined presence.
Created by perfumer Chris Maurice, Sillage is addressed to those who prefer sophisticated niche perfumes, with oud treated in a modern and balanced manner. The oriental-woody olfactory family combines resinous, floral and amber accords in a composition with depth, without any of the notes becoming excessively dominant.
